"Update for 2023: I lost my old man in March of 2023. It was quick, which was good for him but so hard for me, even though I knew it was coming. The morning he starting having issues breathing, I rushed him to Sycamore. I called them on the way and they dropped everything and got ready for him. They were SO nice and compassionate as they brought us in and in less than a minute Dr. Martin came in and helped my boy, who was so ready, to pass peacefully. The love in that room from the staff was amazing and nothing that I have ever seen before and I have had a lot of animals and have put down a fair amount as well. My boy passing was one of the hardest animal deaths for me b/c he was with me for so very long, almost half of my own life. They even sent me to sweetest card for my boy. All of them signed it, it brought tears to my eyes and I have it by his urn. I am no longer a client of sycamore, since all my southside babies are gone but I still rec them to anyone looking on this side of town for a vet. They are, by far, the best. I have been to lots of vets in the area but they just have this passion and you can tell they just love what they do, the pets, and us owners. I miss them so much and I miss my boy. Thx Sycamore, keeping being awesome! This old man will be 19 in October. He and so many others have been in and out of Sycamore for decades now. In fact they have been taking care of our animals since the 80s. We have never thought to look for another vet b/c the care has always been exceptional. I rec this vet all the time! This is a bittersweet rec as Pumpkin will be the last patient since I do not live on the southside anymore. Pumpkin was living with my mother until she passed last year. I now live w/ him part time and take care of him. When it is time for this guy to take his walk across the rainbow bridge and meet up with my Mom we will say goodbye to sycamore. It will be bitter sweet to say goodbye to them when he is gone but they have been so great these many years. I hope my guy holds on for a bit longer just bc but if you need a vet they are the most loving people and when this guy and my others have had emergencies they have worked hard to get them in to be seen, even during COVID. I owe them a lot with the health and wellness of my over this what seems to be 30 + year service."
